Case do Capitao Barra Beach Club opens in Inhambane during the first quarter of 2010.

The sister hotel to Casa do Capitao in town, the Beach Club is a private 9 suite hotel on Barra Beach, easily accessible from Inhambane. Guests from Casa do Capitao are brought daily to the club or guests can elect to reside at the Beach Club if they do not wish to stay in town.

The Beach Club will be very similar to the private Beach Clubs found in The Caribbean, with personal attentive service and cuisine for couples. The tens of kilometres of beach frontage promises to make this property exclusive, private and very sexy !!

Inhambane is one of the oldest settlements in the country, established in 1560 by the Portuguese, and is a most interesting town. Tree lined avenues; a colourful market, port and colonial architecture make for a pretty town with a Mediterranean feel. In the old quarter of town is the 170 year old Cathedral of our Lady of Conception where a perilous ladder leads to the top of the spire, offering a grand view of town and harbour. Also take in the old governor's house on the waterfront, the fascinating railway station and the Mercado which sells a colourful array of spices, prawns, fishes, vegetables and cashew nuts. You can also take a dhow trip across the harbour to Maxixe.
